What is Whey Protein?

This protein is the liquid part that is obtained during the coagulation of milk in the cheese making process. It is a protein of high biological value and excellent quality. It provides a large number of essential amino acids and a high content of branched-chain amino acids, also known as BCAA. Its main use is due to the fact that it is quickly digested (15 to 20 minutes).

Whey protein is generally used as a dietary supplement by athletes to provide energy to the muscles when performing intense exercise and especially with the aim of increasing muscle mass, due to the main role that proteins play in the process of muscle synthesis; for this same reason it is also used for muscle recovery.

Whey Protein Concentrates are usually low in fat and cholesterol, which is why they are often used in low-fat diets and to fight obesity, as well as to stimulate the immune system and the antioxidant function that protects the body from free radicals.

This protein can be consumed, for example,  in the form of protein shakes, and one of the best powders to prepare your shake is Total Go Protein, which will improve your immune system, and help you increase muscle mass and prevent fatigue.
